The hotel was very charming , it had a lovely intimate feel to it and was very comfortable. It Wasn’t right in the city centre ,so took about 25 mins to walk into centre but was no problem. Me and my daughter felt very safe walking out at night time on our own.

We couldn’t figure out how to get the eco overhead shower to work & there wasn’t any instructions. You had to pay to use the pool & sauna !

The atmosphere was very calming and wholesome. The theme of the hotel is bohemian and there is stress on environment friendliness. This was very helpful after a stressful day at work . Also the location is also good with an 8 min walk to the metro station.

There was no coffee or tea in the room and one needed to walk out to the common area for it . Also the supplies in the common area were not replenished regularly . For example , the last two days there was no sugar. The staff was young and they tried their best but clearly they need formal training in hospitality to smooth out the rough edges. Otherwise they were eager to make a good impression .

Great atmosphere and breakfast, comfy seating in our room, a handy kiosk for drinks and snacks outside our room, and a lovely little pool that's big enough for doing a few laps. I was unaware while booking that I'd need to pay extra for pool access - but it was still worth it to me. I also really enjoyed riding around on the bike I rented from the hotel! Copenhagen bike traffic is sometimes intense but doable for a seasoned rider.

The mattress was rather firm; as side-sleepers we woke up achy, and this is the one thing that will probably keep us from returning. Such a shame! One other thing that really bothered me, especially since the hotel boasts of its eco-consciousness, is the amount of single-use products, specifically paper cups instead of glasses (even in the bathroom) and non-washable slippers in the pool kit.

Eco style (wood, bricks and atmospheres) feels warm and cozy. Great bed - I finally got a good night's sleep. Position of the hotel it’s Almost near the center , and it’s silent and not crowded outside. The neighbourhood is very pleasant for walking in the evening. Metro and bus stop is near. Also, there is a small “kind of kitchen” therefore coffee and tea at any time. 5 minutes walk to Andersen Bakery Staff is friendly explained how to use the parking App and showed where we could leave a car.

For summer it will be great to have an air conditioner (it’s only ceiling fan) and I was missing dresser. There isn’t car parking, you should go and find it in a blue zone and pay for it. Although, we found place next to the hotel entrance. For 22 hours it’s about 290DKK.

This is an unusual and in many ways delightful hotel. It inhabits a non-descript building in a quiet neighbourhood, surrounded by apartments and office blocks, but on the inside resembles a kind of hideaway spa. The rooms are small but very tasteful, the bar is excellent, service very good and the pool spa area is lovely.

The only downsides I would say are that the hotel has many rooms and feels rather crowded when full. Also the location is peaceful but it does mean a 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute cycle to get anywhere at all. There aren't many other amenities in the direct vicinity.

It was a beautiful property with an incredibly relaxed vibe.

No complaints about the property but a couple of minor gripes that stopped it being a ten. We can back from a day out to discover our room door slightly open. The cleaning staff had obviously not closed the door properly therefore putting our belongings at risk. Also, on our last night we went back to the hotel at about 11:20pm planning to finish our trip with a drink in the hotel bar and enjoy the atmosphere. The hotel (even for residents) had stopped serving and even though there were plenty people in the bar still, we were directed to the kiosk on our floor if we wanted a drink. This was fine but a visually not as nice as having a drink in the bar. Lovely hotel though and incredibly environmentally conscious which I loved.

Very quiet location, only a short walk to main attractions. There's a metro/subway nearby if you're not a walker, rent bicycles at the hotel, or take a cab. Great atmosphere and decor, loved the outdoor heated pool, friendly staff, clean room, powerful shower, comfortable beds.

I could have done without the animal heads on each level, between the elevators. They didn't fit with the vibe of the hotel. I'm not sure why they were there, they don't bring any value to the place.

Really nicely designed rooms, furniture and decor. Love the emphasis on eco friendly. Breakfast was lovely but too expensive (only had one breakfast on an 8-night stay).

Moved to a double room for the weekend when my husband joined me after a week at work - the new room had a balcony and was beautiful and much more expensive (paid for privately, not on expenses) but was much smaller! Far fewer surfaces in the bathroom and bedroom, we ended up trying to sort out luggage and clothes over the floor and on the bed. Didn't make the room feel like somewhere to relax as constantly trying to tidy up.

The highlight of my stay was the hotel's fantastic amenities. The heated outdoor pool was a real treat, providing a relaxing oasis where I could unwind and enjoy a swim regardless of the weather. The pool area was well-maintained, and the comfortable loungers offered a perfect spot for sunbathing or reading a book. Additionally, the two types of saunas available at the hotel were a welcome bonus. They provided a soothing retreat to rejuvenate and indulge in some self-care. Whether I wanted to unwind in the traditional Finnish sauna or experience the invigorating benefits of the steam sauna, both options were available and contributed to a truly relaxing stay. In terms of service, the hotel staff was friendly, attentive, and always willing to assist. They provided helpful recommendations for local attractions and were quick to address any concerns or requests. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of comfort to my stay, and I appreciated their genuine dedication to ensuring a pleasant experience for guests. In conclusion, Hotel Bryggen Guldsmeden offers a comfortable and inspiring retreat with its Moroccan-inspired design, fantastic amenities such as the heated outdoor pool and saunas, and attentive staff.

While the hotel excelled in many areas, the food menu fell slightly short of expectations. The variety of options was limited, which could be disappointing for guests looking for a diverse culinary experience. However, it's worth noting that the breakfast was a standout. The morning spread was plentiful, featuring a wide selection of delicious items that catered to various dietary preferences. The quality of the breakfast offerings was truly exceptional and left me satisfied each morning.

It is a cool little hotel with a very friendly vibe. Lovely to have the courtyard with the pool, the loungers and the sauna/steam room. We made full use of it all! The rooms have a boho chic feel. Simple but well designed with nice big windows, great bed and good extras.

Not much. But the shower is over-complicated!! You just want to be able to easily switch it on and off and change temperature. But it is an e-shower- computerised but without instructions and has to power up like a laptop turning on. It was slightly frustrating because it could just be a rap and dial!
