Royal Palm Inn was the ideal place for our stay in San Andrés, particularly because of its convenient location near our apnea course. The facilities were spotless, and the staff was always warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. A highlight of our stay was their special Raizal dishes every Wednesday, where they serve traditional island cuisine. The cazuela de mariscos was absolutely delicious and a must-try for seafood lovers. This combination of great service, local flavor, and perfect location makes it a fantastic choice—I highly recommend it!

The Family Running the Business was extremely helpful. Our baggage didn’t arrive and they helped us to get it back. Also we felt stuck as the buses are unreliable and you need a car / moto to move. We rented spontaneously one from a friend of the family. We felt very welcome, breakfasts were prepared very well, delicious fresh food. Beds comfortable, room was basic but ok. Perfect for divers, for snorkeling ok but difficult.

It’s not a Hotel, so you shouldn’t have high expectations. The island is generally not worth visiting for people who don’t like plenty of tourists :p

A lovely family home! I really loved staying with them, their openness, warmth, the occasional late night chats, playing a game with the kids and the uncle, gave a glimpse into family life and culture on the island. I can warmly recommend this place, it’s absolutely safe and the hosts are helpful and all the time ready to give you tips and advice about the island. It’s walking distance from swimming spots on the Rocky beach, and quite far from all the main tourist spots, so if you like peace, quiet, snorkling, diving, this is a nice spot. The bus stops outside the house, but since I was traveling solo they even dropped me off by scooter at a spot where buses are more frequent! thank you! There is wifi and Netflix and a nice large TV.

If you want to be surrounded by bars and people and walkable distances, this is not for you.

Emmita and Hernan were amazing hosts, we felt like part of a family. The place is in a quiet part of the island nestled in the jungle, ideal for exploring a different part of the island away from the main area. Also very close to scuba diving sites if you’re doing that. They made us a great dinner with the best snail and shrimp cocktail we’ve ever had. Would highly recommend!!

Great location for scuba diving access, plus a very peaceful and quiet environment, away from the main town and noise. Clean, air conditioned and spacious rooms. Our hosts, Emita and Hernan were exceptionally friendly and responsive to all of our needs during our stay, i.e places to eat, hiring a scooter, where to dive and swim. They are both very good cooks! The place is running by an grate couple that is in the business for years. They are the nicest people! Welcoming and helpful. The rooms are big and spacious, and the shower to. It close the the sea and couple nice beaches. Quite and relaxing, highly recommend 👌

Very helpful staff (family). Quiet. Very clean.

They don't really have a restaurant. They will cook for you on demand, but that requires planning ahead, which isn't always convenient. In low season, it's not so easy to find open restaurants close by (walking distance) open in the evenings.

The property is right across from the beautiful ocean and a few hundred meters from a slide that goes off into the ocean as well as diving boards and snorkeling. The host family is awesome and knows everyone on the island.

The owners can help with ideas, recommendations and services (eg dive trips, cars, motorcycles for the day) and local restaurants and bars, not tourist destinations. We loved the family atmoshpere of the place, the DIY approach and look of it and the warm welcome.
