Loved the remote location. The views of the mountains and lake. Beds were very comfy and bathroom had a large soaking tub. Loved the hot tub was lovely. Aalto dinner was extraordinary- every thing delicious.

Fireplace in room continued to stop working. Maintenance came out no less than 6 times to relight the pilot light. Very frustrating and disappointing. Sauna wasn’t on the first night upon exiting the hot tub. Sadly the lake wasn’t open to ice skating due to unseasonably warm temps - not under the hotels control.

The location and view from the rooms is second to none. The walking trails and water sports are a main attraction for me. The amenities are plentiful and the staff is excellent. We have stayed here before and I always am excited to return.

Someone smoking pot in the suite beneath us made us go back into our suite and miss a beautiful evening on our balcony. :( unfortunately we had to also leave the property the first night here due to the wildfire in Jasper. The front desk manager was so kind when we were evacuated and was only concerned about how fast we could leave and find safety . Thank you for your kindness. We were refunded in full for the 4 days we were booked in for, with no hassle.

The location was amazing, as were the views. It was close to town, which had plenty of shopping and places to eat.

Renovations going on, which is great but considering it was so expensive everything should be working. Toilet flush got stuck and ran water unless you remembered to go and flick it again. TV didn’t work and we ran out of water one morning so no shower. Phone lines not working for the last day. Internet was weak. The Aalto was too expensive. Need a bar space with more braid choice of food/ snacks.

- View from room and balcony is pyramid lake. It is so beautiful - Staff is so friendly and helpful - There is an ice machine. It is very good for summer! - Boat rental for free for all hotel guests - Car parking is in front of the building and it is free. It is so convenience - We had to evacuate from Jasper because of wildfire and we pray for the hotel and Jasper to overcome this hard time.

- Low water pressure of shower - No dish washing machine

The setting of this hotel is just absolutely beautiful, the 1hour per day free canoes & bike hire is excellent and well worth taking advantage of to explore Pyramid Island. Rooms were clean & staff all very friendly. Free s’mores kits were great to sit round the fire with on an evening. Would definitely recommend paying the extra and staying here if you have a car over staying in the town of Jasper, it is only a short 5 min drive and the setting is worth it.

The only downside (and it is only very minor) was that there was no housekeeping for our 3 night stay. We could request clean towels which were promptly provided but the bin in our room was not emptied. I’m confident it would have been had we asked but it is not done as standard.

Complimentary coffee was a real treat! Very tranquil setting

The Initial room allocated ( 63/65) was the higher room category but when arriving the room was very poorly designed with bedroom facing the back of the resort, and fire place blocking the view, bathroom in the middle of room overlooking car park with shared balcony , The design was very dysfunctional, and surprised how owners could accept such a bizarre room design from an architect. Completely unacceptable We insisted on a down grade, which in fact was better. ( room 28 i think) lower level with nice flow ( normal hotel style room) with balcony. Lastly Housekeeping staff honestly did a sloppy job of making up the room. Bed not made properly, pillows all hap hazard, in fact it felt a little intimidating like we put out the staff. A real shame .

The location on pyramid lake was lovely You can't walk to Jasper, though, so be sure to have a car. Room was a good size. I would stay again.

We booked the in house restaurant for dinner but had a blanket email around 6pm saying it was cancelled with no explanation. I checked with reception who said they had decided around 4pm not to open. I then asked about breakfast service and was told, not sure yet, and they blamed some workers for cutting an electricity cable. We were up by 7am and no one had been anywhere near the site, yet they then said the electricity was fixed. I do believe they just decided not to open for dinner and the electricity was a rouse. We had to get back in the car to drive into town, after driving for hours to get dinner which was not ideal.

Beautiful views and accommodations

Had called a week prior to the reservation to ensure we could get a late checkout to which I was told by staff I could request it and have it done upon checking in. At my arrival we checked in and were given a room. About 1 hour later we got a call by front desk asking us to move to an upgraded room because the one we were in was already rented for the following morning and could not provide a late check out. We had already voiced upon checking in we wanted a late checkout and were only called one hour later once we had already unpacked all our things. This was frustrating and inconvenient to us.

Beautiful and quiet setting on Pyramid Lake with huge, comfy bed. We made good use of the complimentary tea and hot chocolate at reception and we’re grateful for the loan of bear spray. Glad we didn’t stay in the heart of Jasper which rumbled all day and night with the sound and vibrations of freight trains. The restaurant was absolutely delicious too and a must visit. Thank you!

There was building work and maintenance going on, but this is unavoidable to maintain high standards and we were staying in low season.

Loved loved the location! Beautiful views from the room and porch. Loved that you included a free kayak rental which I took advantage of for over an hour on a clear calm morning. I kayaked all over the lake. Food in the restaurant was outstanding. I had the B.C. imported sable fish and my husband had the duck. Both were amazing. Our server was very friendly and gave us excellent service. She brought the chef out to meet us and we praised his culinary skills. He told us he had recently returned from working in Denmark at a two star Michelin restaurant. I would eat at his restaurant again and again! We hope to return to the resort with our kids and grandkids some time. I would definitely recommend this lodge to everyone wanting to take advantage of privacy in a tourist town. Perfect time to visit seemed to be at end of summer season, as crowds were minimal and fall colors were gorgeous! Hike to the top of the mountain in back was challenging but well worth it when we got to the top overlooking the town and surrounding lakes and mountains.

Bathroom fan was extremely noisy when you turned the light on but they came and disconnected it. Otherwise absolutely no complaints as we had gorgeous weather.
