This is a beautiful hotel and despite being in the centre of the town was very quiet and tranquil.

However, despite emailing the hotel about our arrival (by train), they did not inform us of the problems with actually getting to the hotel. For travellers like ourselves, arriving by train, taxis need to be pre-booked well in advance (even the day before does not guarantee availability). From Herentals train station the cost was 60Euros -one way. To get to Geel was 40 Euros. There is very little public transport (no busses over the weekend). The hotel could have informed us of this and apart from giving us many telephone numbers for local taxi companies, they did not offer to take us to the station.

we have family in Geel so this was convenient and great location with a bookstore across the street and a fun Market in Wednesday. breakfast was really good and our breakfast seat was always waiting for us and coffee brought as soon as they saw us enter. the fresh breakfast juice was always a treat. lovely grounds and easy to get to many sites. staff was very helpful.

Comfortable, clean, and centrally located.

We told the receptionist upon arrival that we would not be having breakfast as we had an eRly departure. She said that was fine, they would deduct on checkout. Lady in the morning was not in a good mood and gave us a story about her employee telling people the wrong information. After such a nice stay, to end this way was not nice. Bottomline you pay for breakfast regardless.

- everything is old - breakfast is minimal and same every day - staff is inattentive. was completely ignored by the waiter in the restaurant:) sat there for like 20 mins and left to eat elsewhere. - location is very bad. Very noisy center of the village, drunk people shouting on the square till very late, parking blocked on Wednesday.

We loved the friendliness of the staff. The garden and the restaurant are what makes this hotel worth the 4stars and what made our stay so pleasant. The room was very clean, large and modern. The bed was very comfortable and there was a fridge, a fan and coffee/expresso machine in the room. Breakfast was very nicely presented with an excellent choice and variety. We enjoyed our stay.

We clicked on the booking for a room with 2 single beds. On arrival, we received a room with 1 large bed. Unfortunately, the booking for 2 beds was not received via this website and it was impossible to get another room. This was unfortunate as I travel with my son and we really want 2 single beds... We solved it by 'dividing' the bed with pillows and rolled up towels. I understand the error was not on the hotel's side, but it was unfortunate and caused us some stress. I advice people to contact the hotel directly if you have specific requests. Don't count on this website to communicate everything you click on.

The Breakfast was basic but good, the staff are friendly but sometimes hard to find. Was not sure when the Restaurant was open.

Lovely boutique hotel. Very friendly staff and owner. Really good onsite restaurant, very accommodating as we arrived late. Good size room and very comfortable bed. The gardens are very nice too.

This is a clean, pleasant hotel in a quiet small town. Breakfast is excellent.

It was a bit disappointing not to be able to get any food after 9pm.
