Staff was really kind and helpful always with big smile. Room was clean, big and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner in their restaurant were great with several choices and delicious food. Location is really in the centre in a beautiful environment next to the river. I can recommend this place and would come back again.

The hotel was easy to find (Houffalize is not that big, that helps). Parking was clearly indicated. Staff at reception desk was very friendly, very helpful. We made a dinner reservarion by mail a few days before arriving, which was taken into account. The reservation was needed, because it was fully bookef that night. The breakfast area is a decent size, with a lot of options (breads, croissants, pains au chocolat, scrambled eggs, bacon, fruits, ...). The rooms were tidy and cosy. The bathroom was small, but had everything we needed. There are spa facilities in the hotel (no bathing suit), with bathrobes available at the reception. We had dinner in the restaurant, very friendly staff, delicious local food. We recommend this hotel.

We stayed for a long weekend with the half board package and were very well taken care of. The buffet breakfast was good though if you got there late, tough luck. The dinners were good, though there weren't options to choose from which was unexpected. The town and surrounding forest was so charming and lovely, and besides a spot of bad weather, we had an excellent trip. Absolutely would come again.

breakfast was excellent, including sparkling wine. Nice selection of breads, coldcuts, etc. Bacon, eggs, granolas, yoghurt, all the stuff you expect in a 4 star hotel breakfast. Dinner was excellent. I had the Grey shrimp croquets that were excellent, and the Italian Steak which was fabulous!! Highly recommended. I took a nice bottle of Montepulciano d' Abruzzo which was excellent value for money.

The bathroom was a little dated and could use a little freshening up. Everything was very clean, it's just that it showed wear and tear, especially in the shower, which is a little unfortunate. The room was correct and clean, but the bathroom was in my opinion not 4* level. I have to admit I took the basic room, but that shouldn't matter, in the sense that it is still a 4* hotel.

Great location within the town and from the main transport route. Super fish, meat and cheese selection for breakfast. Secluded parking at the side of the hotel, where mine and 2 other bikes were parked. Just the right distance from Ijmuiden heading south.

Nice breakfast, lots of choice. Hotel room was clean and spacious, we had an upgrade to the ''deluxe'' room. No balcony. Many options for outdoor activities in the area.

Food in brasserie is very good but a bit expensive.

Friendly staff, room had a lot of space. You can bring a dog. There is a restaurant in the hotel and you automatically get a table reserved for you. That's good service.

The room looked clean in the beginning, but I accidentally spilled some water and used a towel to clean it up. The towel was brown all over. They should wet clean the floor more often. Not a big issue for me and I don't have a comparison to other hotels where I haven't done this before.

Lack of sound isolation, no air conditioning so we had to keep the windows open as the temperature was high and the kitchen smell was in the room unfortunately

Great staff and facilities. Restaurant quality was fabulous our first night. Good but not great the second night (same items). Would definitely stay again.

The room was nice, spacy and comfortable. The breakfast was good and there was a wide choice of products. Dinner was good, but the courses we found expensive for value, but I think we still have to get use to the new prices after corona. Everywhere everything became a lot more expensive. What we did like most was the amazing garden where we had several drinks. Also the staff is very friendly and do everything to make you feel comfortable and special.

The hotel is nice and cosy, but sometimes a little bit too cosy. The place needs a refurbishment. The rooms, but also especially the wellness is quite outdated and old.
