The location is brilliant, right at the entrance to the main shopping mall where there are many eateries and a Woolworths. In a beautiful heritage city building. Easy walking distance to Salamanca and the wharves/ harbour area. Room was large, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Good quality bed linen and towels to the quality of a 5 star hotel.
Those who like windows that open will likely be disappointed. I saw benefits to this though as it blocked out any street noise and meant the room was well insulated and stayed warm. I had my own remote controlled split system air conditioner (hot and cold) but did not need to use it on a 6° night. There is no hotel restaurant on site, but you don't really need this as it is surrounded by restaurants and cafes open every day.

Spacious room, and lovely staff. I was in an annex to the hotel which was just across the street, above some shops. I arrived after office hours, however instructions were provided in a timely way and were clear, so there were no issues with self-check-in. Having a complimentary laundry available, and nearby to the guest rooms, is awesome : )
The rooms at the back of the annex have no view/outlook - the only windows are either frosted or look out on the fire escape and the back of other buildings.

Great central location, walking distance from everything - chemist next door, spa downstairs, plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby and a Woolies and other shops just around the corner. Very friendly and helpful staff, too. Will definitely stay again if we're ever back in Hobart.
We stayed for a week and did a lot of our own cooking, and my only complaint was the utensils/crockery were limited in that regard. That said, we did ask at reception for extra items and they were quickly provided!

We stayed in the Level 4 2bed apartment, which was much larger than expected! It was a full sized apartment complete with full laundry and kitchen. One of the bedrooms was huge with plenty of floor space for luggage. The bathroom was exceptional - large, warm and clean with all necessary amenities. We couldn't be happier with our stay. The hotel location is perfect for walking to the city shops, Salamanca markets and down by the pier.
The place was a little dusty, and could do with a vacuum both on the carpets and furniture. It didn't affect my allergies too much, you could just see the little particles floating around in the light.

Great location within walking distance of the waterfront and shops. The staff were helpful and friendly. I got an upgrade from the budget room over the road, to an internal room overlooking the atrium. The kitchenette was useful. Although there is no parking on site, they offer discounted parking a short walk away.
The extraction system in the bathroom isn’t very effective so it got quite steamy after a shower and hard to use the mirror. The hot water in the shower is also almost scalding.

Quest Hotel's location on Elizabeth Street is amazing. I stayed in a budget apartment in the annex located across the street. The reception service was nice and polite. Their proactive updates stood out, keeping passengers informed and minimizing inconvenience during travel disruptions. The apartment has all the amenities and more, including a hairdryer and iron.
You can see that the apartment is dated, used, shabby. The furniture is scratched, the paint is peeling off somewhere. Uneven floor surprised me. I had a constant problem with the handle in the bathroom to lock it. And my partner said that his sleep was uncomfortable on the sagging sofa.

The apartment was super comfortable and spacious. Location was very convenient and sound proofing was surprisingly good. I got a full bath which is always rare when staying at a hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful, room service was always impeccable and overall I felt very safe staying there on my own. Also very grateful to have a microwave + fridge + cooktop so I can make my own food.
I like to get fresh air in the room sometimes so I was worried about not being able to open the windows, but the room never felt stuffy and the a/c worked really well, so it didn't end up being an issue :)

The location was great, right in the centre of town - we were stating in the annex across the road from the main hotel. The kitchen was pretty good, and it was nice hearing the bells of the nearby clock tower chiming.
The shower was awkwardly small, and felt very cramped when the door was shut. Would have been nice to have some windows that could open to let in air - especially after cooking. The soundproofing wasn't amazing - on our last night it sounded like someone in the floors above was dropping bowling balls or other heavy objects all night.

The welcoming by the staff and the feeling of being looked after. Please pass our sincere thanks to Tara. We will remember her calm voice and the support, both.. and also that the taxi today morning, 18th morning that is, came on time at 4.45 am..the one she booked for us. our thanks to her for that and to her colleague too.

I would always choose this venue first when searching. Great value for money and a perfect spot. The receptionist stayed late to greet us which was kind. The apartment was exceptional and well setup for a short stay. The hotel is close to everything so you can walk around Hobart easily. We could leave our bags while we hired a car.
The hallways and stair wells were overheated but I really cannot find fault.
